PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The Law and Development Associates provided technical assistance to LADA Institute, a subsidiary Not-For- Profit Organisation, under a co- operative agreement between The Institute and the Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs, US Embassy Ghana, towards the development of a Plea-Bargaining Act for Ghana.
This assignment involved the drafting of legislation and working with the relevant stakeholders to ensure timely and successful passage of the proposed legislation by parliament.
The law will form the basis of improving the criminal justice system by ensuring speedy disposal of cases and reducing the huge backlog of criminal cases even help reduce the help reduce prison population.
