1. Policy, Regulatory & Legislative Development
Law and Development Associates has an enviable record in legislative and institutional reform in Ghana. Law and Development Associates also specializes in legislative consulting offering advocacy and political consulting services to individuals, corporate, association and public sector clients.
We offer a full range of services to assist clients who develop, promulgate, and implement regulations. Ghana's law making process takes place in a complex environment that requires clear and precise drafting, defensible and transparent analysis, extensive public involvement, and balancing certainty and predictability with the need to promote innovation - usually under challenging deadlines.
We derive our strengths mainly from several years of working with the highest leadership and policy making individuals and institutions in Ghana including; the Government of Ghana; several key Ministries, Departments and Agencies; the Parliament; the Judiciary; and many State Agencies such as the Attorney-General's Department, the forestry Commission, the National Health Insurance Authority, the Ghana Police Service and the Ghana Prisons Service.

Law and Development Associates has carved a niche for itself by being able to develop systematic approaches in public policy solutions for Ghana and beyond. We tackle issues with the aim of developing workable alternatives to eliminate or lessen the causes or contributory factors to contemporary development issues.
In practice, our work involves collaborating with public sector partners to develop and appraise options for service delivery; design a service in line with service users' needs; review the delivery of the service to assess cost effectiveness, and evaluate the quality of services. Our objective is to promote continuous improvement so that costs are kept under regular review and necessary action is taken to improve cost effectiveness.
At LADA, we have particular expertise in performance management and the design and implementation of evaluation methodologies - covering ex ante, formative and summative approaches, utilising a range of qualitative and quantitative methods. We are often called upon to explore the efficacy of performance management systems, including targets as a driver to raise performance, as well as the development of tailored performance management and monitoring approaches.

Capacity building and training exercises are conducted in the form of workshops, retreats and seminars to help People, Government Organizations, International Organizations and Non-Governmental Organizations strengthen their skills and competencies. We go further to prepare manuals and training modules. In addition, we equip trainers to impart their staff, clients and communities.
